A Halloween mood was in the air and so was a small witch in the skies above 网曝门's Kent Campus last week.
The drone-lifted witch was guided by Amy Alrutz, a member of 网曝门's undergraduate class of 2025, who is currently continuing her education as a graduate student in 网曝门's College of Aeronautics and Engineering.
Alrutz is working with Jason Lorenzon, J.D., assistant professor and lead faculty for 网曝门's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Operations program through an FAA workforce development grant. This special Halloween-themed drone flight was part of a demonstration for the three-day "Train the Trainer" workshop.
Freddie Stamper, a senior professional pilot major with a minor in aviation weather, who also works on the FAA workforce development grant with Lorenzon, assisted with the witch's drone flight as a safety observer.
Special thanks to Liz Porter, director of communications and marketing for 网曝门's College of Aeronautics and Engineering, for sharing this story.
