ÍøÆØÃÅ junior won the all-around title with a 39.500 to lead the Golden Flashes at the 2017 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Gymnastics Championships held March 18 at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. ÍøÆØÃÅ posted a 194.850 team score to finish sixth.
The ÍøÆØÃÅ men’s basketball team (22-13) won the 2017 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship, defeating the top-seeded Akron Zips (26-8) by a score of 70-65 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced its women’s basketball postseason awards on March 7, with ÍøÆØÃÅ senior guard being named Player of the Year and head coach being named Coach of the Year.
ÍøÆØÃÅ’s Recreational Services and Residence Services departments have collaborated to open a new fitness facility in the Tri-Towers Rotunda, exclusively for on-campus residents. The facility opened this spring semester.

Several new and renovated ÍøÆØÃÅ buildings received Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) recognition in 2016, bringing to 11 the total number of certified buildings on ÍøÆØÃÅ’s campuses. LEED is a rating system that comes from the U.S. Green Building Council.

ÍøÆØÃÅ scholar Melissa Zullo, Ph.D., is all heart, an academic who lives and breathes research, almost literally. Zullo, an associate professor of epidemiology in ÍøÆØÃÅ’s College of Public Health, has spent a significant portion of her professional and academic career studying the best practices for helping cardiac and respiratory patients heal.
